Richardson calls for focus on poverty

Part 1: summary
Democratic president candidate, Bill Richardson, called a focus meeting on poverty. He said that we used to think was that nuclear was the weapon of Mass destruction but actually it is poverty that kills the most people. He also said that over population and hunger is equal to nuclear bomb. So as he is going for president he is warning us and saying to the international government to help this devil

Part 2: why is this important
This is important because a lot of people are ding due to poverty. This can cause a lot of problem. This poverty kills so many people in a day that even nuclear bomb can’t kill so many. So this is a major problem World Wide. Everyone says that poverty is bad but no one tries to help. They give poor people generally maybe ten taka but nothing more. So this is really hard for this poverty so when Richardson is trying to help we should help too. Also very few government gives funds to poor people. If hit by a cyclone or such disasters is the only time when they get funds from the government.

Y- you can be helpful f yo u donate some money

N- not many people survive this

The Revealers post #3

In the novel, The Revealers, the students of Parkland Middle felt connected through SchoolStream or as the students called it KidNet where they were able to chat or instant message. Most of you do this nightly through MSN Messenger. With KidNet and MSN nobody could break into or eavesdrop on your conversation without it being known. Not anymore. Today’s technology allows you to assume the identity of another person. Do you really know whom you are talking to in the cyber world?

It is 10:00 pm on a Wednesday night; you have finished your homework and you are chatting on MSN with three other friends. After 10 minutes two more friends ask to join the chat. By 10:30 pm five more people have joined and it is fun; however, there is a joke said about one of the people, rapidly followed by an insult. At first, no one knows how to respond, then seconds later a message pops up stating, “I didn’t say that! It isn’t me saying these things. Someone is using my name. What is going on here?”

What is the issue involved in this scenario? Why is this serious?

What would be a responsible way to handle this situation?

How could a situation like this be resolved? How would one of the three main characters from The Revealers
deal with this situation?

I can not be sure about this for i don't chat that often although i stay online. Chatting is fun because you can stay in touch with people but it can be dangerous. for instance i heard one day that a guy was chatting to his friend and his friend asked all these information like where he lived so that he can visit him, what's his phone number, and all those information. the guy thought it was his most trustworthy friend and gave all the information away. the next morning he woke up he found all his money stolen, all his valuables lost, and the only thing that was in that house except his bed, him and the clothes he was wearing was a note saying " Hi sucker, thanks for the information you gave me on the MSN. It was helpful to locate your house and steal everything. For the sake of your friend I will just tell you one thing, I am not your best friend." So yes chatting is dangerous. The issues involved in this is that these things are locked in by a password and these days there are proffesional hackers even in kids these incidents happen often. These incidents happen because a kid could be jealous and wants other people not like another person. so they will go into this and hack into their account and wallah your friends are not you friends anymore. The other thing this happens is because they think this is fun. unfortunately i dont know a responsible way to handle this but i can say is if you don't show your passwords to anyone or if you go to someones house and work on something then change your password or at least always change your passwords recently. i have no answer for the last question for i don't know how this situation can be resolved by them.

The Revealers
Blog Writing Topic

Blog response Instructions: Answer the questions in complete sentences, proper English and use examples from the novel whenever possible. Put page number after your examples. When writing comments to your peers, be respectful in your language and about their response. It is okay to disagree, but do it in a polite manner.

Blog Question: Is bullying a rite of passage of childhood and adolescence? Is it apart of the maturation process one needs to go through to reach adulthood? Explain. Mrs. Hogeboom brings up this topic on page 108.

I think i will agree with Ms. Hogeboom because bullying needs to be a part of life. bullying makes a person tough for their future. if a person had not faced any mental of physical bullying in his or her life hat person won't be strong in future. If their boss is mean they won't know how to solve that situation. In childhood if the person faced these challenges he or she will know how to solve this hard riddle. I think bullying needs to happen to a person atleast once because this is preparing them for their future.
